The Golem Nigeria Harvest - 5/9/2021
The Golem Nigeria harvest started as soon as the executives from Lagos arrived Owode. The maize were harvested by Golem executives and divided into bags for onward distribution.
While the maize , bags of rice and others were being divided Pastor Lawrence Awolotan gave the opening prayer for the program to commence.
Bro Tunde and Mrs Ayeni admonished the women with the word of God. He urged the to avoid " worry ". They were told to endure the harsh times and continue to hope for the best.
Also, they were briefed about the activities of Golem. The were told to spread the love by sharing whatever they were given with others.
But there were questions from some of the guest concerning the operation of Golem. They asked if they are now part of Golem. Bro Tunde responded that they are part of Golem in love. Another woman asked about Golem's coverage. Bro Tunde explained that Golem exist in some other parts of the world and the operation is not limited to Owode.
After the admonition, they were given the packs of food item including maize , rice etc. Pictures of the women who got the packs are attached with this report.
At the conclusion of event, the women expressed their gratitude to Golem. The closing prayer was done by Pastor Joseph.
GOLEM WORKERS MEETING
The Golem workers had executive meeting as soon as the guest left. Bro Tunde Bamidele expressed his displeasure on the silence of most Golem workers on the whatsup platform. He demanded for reasons. Mr Tunde Bamidele told the Golem workers to give their opinions.
Mrs Ayeni thanked the Golem members for their efforts. She spoke about the need to support those who are still below capacity in the NGO I. e some Golem women who needs to be supported or empowered for improved standard of living.
Further more, pastor Awolotan gave insight on the need for water ( Borehole) on the farm. He stated that water is vital and the erection of a small office so that GOLEM workers could come to Owode once in three months for prayers.
Again, pastor Joseph corroborated the installation of borehole. He stated that the water is important for the crops. He stressed that people in the vicinity are suffering for water and the presence of a borehole could serve as a blessing.
Moreno, pastor Joseph opined that there is need to get more lands to plant. He said Golem could still expand in the nearest future by looking at other areas of agriculture such as poultry. He said all these could come in the future but majorly as the spirit leads.
As the meeting progressed, mama Dominion reaffirmed the need for water ( borehole) and for Golem workers to give back into the service. Mrs Ayeni supported the need for Borehole as well as all other Golem members.
Mr tunde Bamidele urged pastor laoto to give insight on the farm issue. Pastor Laoto declared that there are acres of land around that could be purchased by Golem for expansion. He stated that there are lands in Ilaro and some part of owode for agricultural extension.
Meanwhile bro Yomi urged that the vision of Golem for now is to provide food for the needy. He stressed that Golem is currently striving to ease the burden of financial hardship through the provision of food. He opined that the Golem management could seek to expand the farm by getting more lands but it is as the spirit leads.
The meeting ended with the Jollof rice prepared by mama Dominion. Everyone was happy with the level of success as regards the first harvest. God bless the Golem directors and all workers.
