The God of Love Emancipation Ministries (GOLEM) has once again lived up to its name, turning faith into action and love into service as it marked its maiden Week of Impact, Service, and Compassion. In a society where the less privileged are often forgotten, GOLEM has continued to stand tall as a beacon of Christ’s love, translating the gospel into practical deeds.
The activities began with GOLEM’s participation in the empowerment program of Great Grace Mission, Ilaro. From there, the torch of love was carried to the Owode branch of GOLEM, where the week unfolded under the direction of Mr. Babatunde Bamidele.
At Owode, a pivotal training session was held by Reverend Jonathan Opeoluwa Taiwo, whose teachings went far beyond administrative tutelage. His charge served as a moral and spiritual compass, reminding GOLEM officials of their sacred responsibility to embody the ministry’s vision. He spoke passionately about integrity in service, compassion towards widows, and the need for workers to reflect the ministry’s core foundation — love.
The week was further enriched by spirit-filled ministrations from servants of God, whose messages revived hope, stirred faith, and rekindled commitment to service through love. The climax came on the final day with the presentation of cash gifts to widows and the less privileged — a gesture that not only met material needs but also echoed the deeper message of inclusion, care, and compassion.
With the Owode chapter concluded, attention now shifts to Lagos, where preparations are already in full swing. Beginning today, Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Lagos Week will mirror the same spirit-filled pattern — starting with training for officials, continuing with uplifting sessions of songs and words of the Spirit, and concluding with another round of impactful giving to widows and the needy.
At its core, GOLEM remains a ministry with a heart. Its philosophy is simple yet profound: love must be shared, forgiveness must be practiced, and reconciliation must be lived out daily. In an age where indifference often overshadows compassion, GOLEM’s rare gestures shine as living examples of what a Christ-centered community can achieve.
As Reverend Jonathan Opeoluwa Taiwo often reminds his team, “GOLEM is not just an organization — it is a movement of love.” A movement committed to touching lives, healing wounds, and shaping a better society through the transforming power of compassion.
